Is it possible that Auburn needs more defensive backs from the Transfer Portal?

Auburn defensive coordinator Ron Roberts spoke to the press after A-Day and told the media that he will be searching for some new acquisitions at a certain position, once the transfer portal opens up on April 15. This position that he mentioned was defensive back, a position believed to be one of Auburn’s deepest on the depth chart.

Does Auburn need a corner or safety when it opens back up? Could this be a contingency plan for potential transfer outs? Why was defensive back mentioned over linebacker? Could this mean that the defensive backs aren’t as good as we believed?

Former Auburn basketball player Devan Cambridge  has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal again, following his season with the Arizona State Sun Devils. Cambridge left the Tigers to play with his brother in Arizona, but now he is back in the portal, and Auburn could very well be a potential landing spot.

How would Devan fit on this current roster? Is there any interest from Bruce Pearl and Auburn to bring him back? Has he improved enough to warrant giving him the roster spot?
