Where do the Auburn Tigers look in the transfer portal?
On today's episode of the Auburn Daily Show, Lance Dawe and Matthew Jacobs discuss the four biggest positions of need for Hugh Freeze and Auburn football in the transfer portal once it opens up on Saturday.
Quarterback has been an area of concern for over a year, and with Hugh Freeze having 15 days to find his next signal-caller, things should be interesting. MJ Morris, Riley Leonard, and Chance Nolan are just a few names to spark interest (whether legitimate or illegitimate) on social media.
EDGE is another position that needs depth. Elijah McAllister and Keldric Faulk need quality backups. Speaking of quality backups, expect some offensive lineman enter the portal for Auburn, with the Tigers replacing it with more talent to play backup to what should be a solid starting offensive line of Gunner Britton, Dillon Wade, Avery Jones, etc.
Defensive line may be one of the more concerning position groups on the roster. Can Ron Roberts get the run defense up to snuff with the players he currently has? How many Tigers on the d-line are expected to leave this weekend?
